Product I Can’t Live Without in Winter…but wish I could.

12 Dec

Chicago is freaking FREEZING right now.  Which means everyone’s heat is set to “Tropical” and means my poor skin is super dry.

Like as in, so dry that I’m super itchy and am scratching myself raw while sleeping.  No lotion I own is helping and its been over a week.  So this means it’s that time of the year that I make my trip to the LUSH store.  Woe is me.  😛

The only thing that has ever helped me survive Winter is Ro’s Argan Body Conditioner.  It smells amazing (like roses) and it seriously makes my skin feel amazing and stops all the itching.  The problem – it’s $33 a 7.9oz Tub.  [LUSH has free shipping on everything until the end of the day, so act fast.]

Here is the story:  LUSH product inventor Rowena made this decadent, rose-scented shower ‘lotion’. She noticed how much she liked the sultry soft feeling hair conditioner gives her hair, so she thought how nice it would be if she could have the same feeling for the body too. With scoops of cocoa butter, cupuacu butter, almond oil and Argan oils, and the fragrant scent of fresh rose petals, this is the most luxurious body softener that ever was (if we don’t say so ourselves!). After washing up, slather yourself all over with this new invention. Rinse, pat dry and revel in supremely soft, rose-scented skin.

An amazing way to use this product is to slather yourself with it before you take a bath and just soak away while it repairs your skin.

You can also use it to shave with…if you are rich.

What are your go-to Winter products?

Do you think this would be good for eczema? I have it and I love lush but I’ve never tried it! X

I bet it would! I know LUSH also sells a product that they swear works for eczema called Karma cream. I have a friend that uses silicone based lubricants for her eczema and swears by it. It sounds crazy but I bet it totally works. But really, I was scratching my skin raw in my sleep and then I bought this and no longer have issues. Go to LUSH and have them make you some samples of things so you can try before you drop tons of $$.

Oh really? That sounds so interesting! I guess I’ll have to try out both those products then! Thanks for the recommendations! 🙂

I’ve fallen hard for Delon + Body Butter. I started off with the Scentsy products but their hard to find and got to be pricey online with S&H. So I did a little search and found Delon + it comes in a 6.9oz jar for $4.99 (yes that’s correct) I get it on EBay from the seller sweet-essentials. If your not an EBay user you can find it on Amazon too! Can’t guarantee the price on Amazon.

I started using it over the summer and was amazed how quickly it absorbs and it smells divine!! They have several fragrances but I’ve been using Smooth Vanilla, Coconut (summer go to scent) and White Chocolate. I didn’t think it’d take me into winter because I’m dry anyway, but winter is BRUTAL on my skin and I’m sensitive. But this has been amazing! Smells great **did I mention that?** and most importantly moisturizes and leaves me feeling soft and smooth for hours! Something I have a VERY hard time doing once the temps drop below 45°. If you don’t want a scent that will clash with perfume(s) they also have Olive and Argan Oil and my understanding is they are not as strong (if any) scent as the “flavored” scents are.

Thanks for the recommendation! I also suggest using pro naturals argan oil for winter, it’s soo hydrating.
