Arcana Astrid’s Diadem Review

27 Dec

We don’t blog about perfumes enough. So here is a nice review of a fragrance oil.

The Rhinestone Housewife

Hello hotties!   Today’s review is going to come from the new Queens Of Snow and Air collection from Arcana.  This collection is based upon an obscure fairy tale from the Brothers Grimm and it’s just a wonderful and whimsical collection of goodness now available at The Rhinestone Housewife.

Astrid’s Diadem:  The Queen of Air’s regalia. A bright sparkler of Madagascar vanilla, Bourbon vanilla, sugared lavender creme, citron, lemongrass, peppermint, and a touch of stately patchouli.

In bottle:  Mostly fruity with slight spice.

Wet on skin:  Up front is the citron and lemongrass with just a whiff of peppermint hovering in the background.

Dry on skin:  As this oil dries down the citrus amps just a bit at first, and then the sugared lavender creme slides in with almost a marshmallow vibe.   After a bit the citron settles down and the vanillas come out to play…

Thank you for the reblog! This oil is *so* pretty….I highly recommend it for those that like a slinky, warm scent.

After trying perfume oils, I don’t think I could go back to traditional alcohol based fragrances.

I didn’t use traditionals for about 10 years, and just this year started going back. There are some lovely scents out there in both varieties.

I used to be a BPAL addict!

When it comes to perfume oils, I think we started with BPAL! And while I have nothing but great things to say about them, there are some really amazing other perfume oil companies that have lovely blends that will appeal to a large range of folks, not just those that love goth and musk. lol
