Empties – November 2016

21 Nov

It’s been a long time since I did an Empties post.  I was collecting my empties and intended to do a “season” empty for summer.  However, the amount of all my empty products grew into a huge bucket of containers and it overwhelmed the heck out of me.  So I though it all away and decided to start fresh with November.

In November, I have used up 4 whole things.

HAHAHA  I feel like a cosmetic failure of some sort.

Listing items left to right:

Caress Daily Silk Body Wash $4.39 USD available at Walgreens.

Living Proof Perfect Day Dry Shampoo $22.00 USD available at Sephora.

Wild Ferns New Zealand Manuka Honey Ultra Rich Night Revival Creme $18.50 USD available at Amazon.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Powder Duo $23.00 USD available at Sephora.

All these items are on regular rotation and I buy them frequently.

Thanks for reading!

Looking forward to reading everyone’s empties post.

Dry Shampoo Review – Style Sexy Hair H₂No 3 Day Style Saver Dry Shampoo – the BEST!!!

9 Oct

Style Sexy Hair H₂No 3 Day Style Saver Dry Shampoo changed my hair habits.

Hands down, this is the best Dry Shampoo on the market.  Especially if you have any other color of hair other than blonde.

So what’s the big deal, you ask?

From their website “A translucent light and layerable dry shampoo that helps keep blowouts looking fresh for 3 days. This dry shampoo will provide shine and prolong the time between shampoos, resulting in color vibrancy and reduction of chemical damage to the hair.”

Key word – TRANSLUCENT.  Ladies, this disappears into your hair.  Red hair?  No problem! Purple hair?  No biggie! Pink, orange, green, and oh brunette and black hair….NO PROBLEM.

There is no residue.  Let that sink in…No white stuff left on your roots.

It doesn’t make your hair dull or drab.  Doesn’t weight it down.

This dry shampoo will set you back just under $20.00. But it is seriously worth it.  Also, I feel like I use less of it than the others.

So why don’t you have this yet?

Review – Pantene Blow Out Extend Dry Shampoo

15 Aug

I worked on this bottle of Pantene Blow Out Extend Dry Shampoo for some time. I just couldn’t get through it!  Which would be great if I loved it, but it was sort of a disappointment.

Pantene Blow Out Extend Dry Shampoo costs about $7.99 USD and is available in drug stores.

This isn’t super terrible, it just isn’t great or even memorable.

My thoughts

I found it to be a bit hard to blend into your hair.

If you used too much, it left a lot of residue on the entire hair shaft.  I don’t know if that’s the way the bottle sprayed or of if the powder fell from the scalp area over time.

It doesn’t smell amazing.  Again, not terrible, just sort of meh.  On the plus side, the scent doesn’t last. But as a result, I didn’t think it was fun to use.

Yeah, okay….not everyone thinks their beauty products should be considered “fun”, but I sort of do.  I like to enjoy using something 🙂  Otherwise, why use it?  Right?

Does it absorb oils?  Yes, it doesn’t an okay job at making your hair less oily.  Not amazing.  But okay.  If your hair is on the more oily side, this may not work as well for you.

Would I repurchase?  Only if nothing else was available.  :-\

Have you tried Pantene Blow Out Extend Dry Shampoo?  Do you like it?
