Ipsy Glam Bag - March

I can’t believe I forgot to blog about this!

March Ipsy Glam Bag was fun! Here is what I got:

This cosmetic bag was super cute this month. Kassi got it as part of her B-Day gift. Happy Birthday Kassi!!!!

Pixi Flawless Primer - I’m surpised I like this as much as I do. It also goes incredibly well with my L’Oreal BB Cream. I know, seems redundant, but for some reason I really like this combo.

I wasn’t super excited to get another NYX palette. I have received a number of neutral palettes in the past few months, and I would have liked something with more fun colors. The quality is great, as all NYX products.

Sorry, I couldn’t get this to focus right on my Chella eye liner. HOW MUCH DO I LOVE THAT THIS IS BLUE. Seriously! The only thing that could have made this better was if it were purple. Also this retails for $24.00 and this was a full size product.

bareMineralsMarvelous Moxie™ Lipstick in Get Ready sample. I really like this lipstick. It feels sooooo nice on your lips and it’s a really neutral day time color.

Odette is perfect of Easter season. Beautiful lilac pastel (at least in the bottle)

City Color blush looks really bright in the pot. I am curious how it will swatch and wear.

First Empties post of the year!!!!

E.L.F Setting Spray - a staple

New favorite!!!!

DermOrganics Shaping Spray. I used the shampoo and conditioner from this as well. I like it. Re-purchase? Probably.

Living Proof. I like the Style Extender from this line better. Purchase full? Probably not.

Dr. Brandt. Reviewed here and here.

Arbonne shampoo and conditioner - review to come. Purchase? Maybe….

Sorry the writing got all faded. NYX HD Eye Shadow Base. Another staple. Reviewed here.

Urban Decay 24/7 Liquid Eye Liner. This hasn’t been reviewed. Re-purchase? Maybe? If you would like a full review, let me know in comments :-)

Eucerin hand lotion. This held up super well in the freakish Polar Vortex that hit Chicago in December. Worse winter ever….but I digress. Re-purchase? Probably.

Proactiv Mark Fading Pads reviewed here. I would purchase these in a heart beat. SO IN LOVE.

Lots of samples this month, but also some actual make-up!

Matching eye shadow to your clothes?

Remember this trend from the 80s? NO. Well then I am clearly way older than you. But, yes we used to do this.

Yesterday’s Screen Actors Guild Awards red carpet also showed this trend on Lupita Nyong.

It’s an update on the trend. She isn’t wearing the turquoise all over her eye, just the inner corner and a bit in the inner crease.

I am loving this trend and I can’t wait to try it myself.

Ipsy Glam Bag January 2014!

Woohooo! First Glam Bag of the year and filled with some exciting things. PS. I took these pictures on my floor and I realized I have the world’s most boring carpet color! ick

The things I am most excited about - The Proactiv+ Mark Fading Pads. These are 2% salicylic acid which is so great for treating acne and cell turnover. I always seem to find it in acne medication, so I was psyched to see this. Used one of these already and will do a full review. Sorry, I can’t link to the product because I can’t see it on their website.

Épicé Purifying Exfoliant retails for $32 for 3.3 oz. This is the most expensive product in the bag. I received a 1 oz sample, so about $10.00 worth of product. I already used this and will review it soon.

Healthy Sexy Hair Soy Tri-Wheat Leave In Conditioner. I love hair products. yay!

Mica Lip Tinted Balm in Natural. Pretty color, and it will great on my mom. So I will be giving it to her.

Smooth Shadow from Elizabeth Mott in Pearl. This is a highlighter, eyeliner and waterline liner. I’m excited to use this on my waterline. Putting flesh colored or white liners in the waterline make your eyes appear bigger. This is a big deal for me since I wear glasses.

Protip-Glasses for nearsighted correction make your eyes look smaller. Waterline lining with light or white pencils counters this illusion. Make your eyes pop, girl!

Beauty Box Subscription - Update to what we get

Once upon a time I wanted to cancel my Julep monthly subscription and get another beauty box.

This week my wish came true, and now are are both subscribers to Birchbox! To update, I will now be receiving Ipsy and Birchbox. These are both $10.00 per month, which means I am still saving money from what I paid for Julep. Julep was $20.00 month.

I may add yet another subscription to my month since I’m used to spending $30.00 and now I’m *only* spending $20.00 HAHA.

We had such a good time on New Years Eve, we forgot to post anything about it. We went to the 7 Deadly Sins party hosted by our fantabulous friends in their Envy inducing gorgeous loft.
