Recent purchases -beautyblender and Buxom Mascara

11 Oct

I know, I know, I totally fell for this beautyblender gimmick of a fun color blender. But the package looked soooooo cute.

I also purchased a full sized version of the Buxom mascara. I will do a full review of this soon because I think it’s a really great mascara.

Wellness Wednesday - Reblog from Simple Ula - Tips On Sticking To Your Health Goals — simple Ula

10 Oct

Most people set themselves different goals relating to their health at some point in their life. For some people, these goals can be very generic, for example, to simply live a more balanced and healthy lifestyle. For others, the goals can be very specific, such as giving up smoking or losing a certain amount of […]

[REVIEW] Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Makeup SPF 10 — THERAGEFFECT

9 Oct

I wanted to get this foundation for the longest time ever because of all these great reviews I had read online, and I finally got around to buying it (in JB). I know some people have spent much more money on UD Naked palettes and SKII, but this has been my more expensive purchase thus […]

September-ish empties 2018

8 Oct

It’s probably been about a year or more since I wrote an empties post. When I started to think about getting back into blogging, I started collecting the empties here and there. I’m sure there are a lot of items missing from here, but I tried to hang on to the products I wanted to talk about. I’m also still debating whether to only include full size products or beauty box subscription products too. I’m sure I will change my mind a 100 times.

So what did I use? Fragrance? Make up? Hair?

I will probably say a little something about each of the products. So left to right, we have:

Simple Eye Make Up Remover Pads - These are pretty great and really affordable at just under $7.00. One pad removes almost all of stubborn eye make up.

Calvin Klein Beauty - This fragrance is really light and fruity/citrus. It is really great for work and I would get a lot of compliments.

100% Pure Coffee Bean Caffeine Eye Cream - I buy this eye cream on and off and I still like it.

L’Oreal Elvive Total Repair Shampoo - I really like the Total Repair line. I think it’s the best drug store shampoo and conditioner.

Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb - this is my favorite go to evening and special occasion scent.

Simple Cleansing Wipes - My go to, I use them as a make-up remover and also as a cleanser in a pinch.

Caudalie Vinosource Moisturizing Sorbet - this was an okay moisturizer. Not remarkable but not terrible.

Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray - one of the best setting sprays on the market, it just punches your wallet a little too much.

Dr. Jart+ Water Fuse - good product. Recently reviewed on the site.

Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion - One of Holy Grails.

DermaE Purifying Daily Detox Scrub - I really like this line and this was a good scrub.

Drybar Bay Breeze Shot - this didn’t wow me, that’s all.

Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray - I have no idea how to use these sprays so they are sort of lost on me. I can’t even give an actual review 🙂 but, I didn’t end up with the feeling this product changed my life somehow.

Have you Lovelies tried any of these? What did you think? What were your Empties for September? Link to your blog in the comments 🙂

Thanks for reading!

Play! by Sephora September 2018

1 Oct

It’s been a long time since I did an unboxing 🙂

Sephora Sept.jpg

In September Sephora filled the bag with Olehenriksen, Boscia, Too Faced, Sephora Collection, Marc Jacobs Beauty, and Philosophy.

Here is the details:

C What’s New by Olehenriksen

Succulent Solution by Boscia

Radical Reviver by Too Faced

Buildable Breakthrough by Sephora Collection

The Berry Best by Marc Jacobs Beauty

On The Rose by Philosophy

All of these products are new to me, so I am excited to try them. The Marc Jacobs lipstick shade looks amazing, and perfect for the Fall/Winter seasons.

For those who don’t know, Play! by Sephora is a monthly beauty subscription by Sephora. It’s $10 a month plus tax. AND the 10 dollars you spend on the subscription counts toward your points if you are a Beauty Insider. Isn’t that a nice deal?

Let me know if you lovelies have you used any of these products!

Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion - One of my favorite products of all time!

21 Sep

Happy Friday Lovelies!

I was looking through all the products I use on a regular basis recently and the Dr. Brandt brand is in pretty heavy rotation in my collection. One of my favorite products of all time is from the Brandt Collection, The Microdermabrasion Skin Exfoliant.

HB4116

I have previously blogged about this before here and here.

Even at the $79.00 USD price tag, I cannot stay away from this. I honestly just think this is the best exfoliator you will get on the market without going to a professional.

This takes off all of your dead skin cells, cleans your pores, polishes your skin and keeps you from aging. People always ask me how my skin looks so good, this is it. I use this once week. You don’t really need to use it much more than that, it’s THAT good. This tube, above, has lasted me for 3 years. If you break down the math, that’s only $26.00 USD per year. Don’t you spend more than that on the cheaper exfoliating products? Be honest 🙂

Most other similar products have larger crystals/balls/walnut husks or whatever to do a good enough job at exfoliating or microdermablading your skin. Some of the other products can actually scratch your skin and/or break your capillaries. If you injure your skin, you are doing a lot more harm than good.

Dr. Brandt products are available directly through www.drbrandtskincare.com and www.sephora.com.

If you are signed up for Ebates, you can earn 4% back at Sephora and an 8% at Dr. Brandt direct. You don’t know about Ebates? What, you need to go treat your self and earn money back on some of the stuff you buy online. Also, if you sign up for the newsletter on the Brandt website, they have specials and sales very often that you can take advantage of to stock up on your faves.

Do you have a favorite exfoliating product? What is it and why?
